I think Michael Graves era has some fun stuff, Saturday Night and Dig Up Her Bones are all time classics Glad to finally meet another intellectual such as myself.īold pick for 1 but love both eras of Misfits.ĭon't get me wrong, the Danzig era is amazing but I prefer Glenn's work with Samhain more than his work with Misfits.Īaahhh, Michale Graves, the Sammy Hagar of punk rock i'll have to check out Famous MonstersĪh, a man a culture I see.
I've only heard Static Age and Walk Among Us. Tell me how much of a slobbering retard I am for preferring the Michael Graves era. 01 20 Eyes.mp3 3,395 KB 02 Night of the Living Dead.mp3 2,760 KB 03 Astro Zombies.mp3 3,371 KB 04 Horror Business.mp3 3,646 KB 05 London Dungeon.mp3 3,797 KB 09 All Hell Breaks.

Everything on here slaps harder than almost every track that appears on Walk Among Us or Earth AD. It’s crazy to me how the best tracks Misfits ever recorded with Danzig never made it onto an actual studio album prior to this. Putting this at 4th hurts considering how much I love it, but I sadly can’t place it any higher on the list.įun, short, catchy, and straight to the point.

Every track is a banger, plus some copies came with a poster inside so there really isn’t anything negative I can say about it. I consider Michael Graves era Misfits to be one of the most underrated bands of the 90s. The microscopic run-time is what holds it back from being a classic for me. As much as I love the material present on this record, it does come across as a little unfinished. This is probably the heaviest record in the Misfits catalog, which helps it stand out amongst the rest of their discography. A couple decent tunes, but you’re not missing anything by skipping it. Misfits were a horror punk band for a reason, because this just doesn’t work. It’s commendable that Jerry tried doing something different, basically releasing a straightforward metal record but it really seems like he bit off more than he could chew. The Devil’s Rain is the only Misfits record I wouldn’t recommend.
